Bubinga Humidor AccessoriesThis humidor was designed and made for Harrods of Knightsbridge by Martin Lane.
The humidor is made in bubinga and kevasingo, which is rotary cut bubinga chosen to show the decorative grain in the middle of the panels. Each panel has inlaid bandings and inlaid chevrons of box, ebony, bubinga and pear. There is a clear lacquered finish except for the natural Belize cedar lining where the cigars are stored. The fittings are hallmarked sterling silver and silver plate.
There are three parts to this humidor. The lift-up compartment contains a pair of lighters and a guillotine ashtray and is opened by a secret push button in the form of one of the chevrons. There are a variety of colour-mounted Havana cigar marques surrounded by ebony frames. In the centre of the lid is a hallmarked hand engraved sterling silver ring guage guide and ruler for measuring Havana cigars.
The central section is opened by a secret push button chevron catch. Inside there are three Belize cedar dovetailed drawers. The base of each drawer has been laser etched to show a variety of cigar brand labels. The drawers contain moveable partitions to accommodate different sized cigars. There are colour mounted Havana marques on the front of each drawer. In the center are adjustable shelves which will accommodate cabineted cigars. There are a selection of cigar brand laser etched labels within. The lower drawers contain humitec and a digital hygrometer.
The final section comprimises a dovetailed drawer, opened secretly by pushing the central chevron button to access further accessories and a second ashtray. The drawer sides are rippled sycamore with bubinga partitioning and black suede lining.
